Text Box: Pulpit Ministry

Text Box:           The Pulpit Ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church is the most important ministry of the church. It is our belief that God desires for His people to be under the preaching of His Word whenever they are able and the doors are open. Scripture: "For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe." I Corinthians 1:21

Text Box: Soulwinning Ministry

Text Box:           We believe that God has instructed the local church to evangelize the world by the means of personal soulwinning. It is through these efforts that Fellowship Baptist Church has seen the majority of its growth, and we believe that this growth is a sign of God's blessing upon our church because of our obedience to Him in this area of soulwinning. Scripture: "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15

Text Box:           The Bus Ministry of Fellowship Baptist Church holds a special place in Pastor Holtsclaw's heart, as it was through the efforts of a bus worker that he received Christ as his Savior. And so it is, that each week, Fellowship goes out into the neighboring communities, and picks up children and those who do not have their own ride. Scripture: "Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." Luke 14:23

Text Box:           Fellowship Baptist Church holds the children's ministries in high regard because it is our belief, and studies have shown that when children are reached at an early age, they are more likely to live for God for the rest of their lives. Scripture: "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." Mark 10:14

Text Box:           During the Sunday Morning Service, Brother Joe Jarkowsky leads the Junior Church Ministry. This is an organized time where the children have fun with puppet shows, skits, stories, and songs which all center around one theme each week, and climaxes with a message from the Bible, and a time of decision at the end. Scripture: "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." II Timothy 3:15

Text Box:           Every other week, a group travels from the church to the nearby Hamilton Arms Center in Lancaster, PA, where a service of singing and preaching is held.  The Nursing Home Ministry is directed by Evangelist Mark Ridgeway.  His wife, Angela, Assistant to the Pastor Chet Kulus, and Paul and Jen Walk assist each week as well. Scripture: "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction," James 1:27

Text Box:           At Fellowship Baptist Church, we have an active teen group, with which we have at least one activity a month, as well as other special teen programs. Coming up in March 2008, we will be hosting our Teen Winter Blast, to which we will be inviting over 100 churches from a 3 hour radius of Fellowship. In all of our teen activities, we show the teens that Christians can have fun and encourage them to live for God in their own lives. Scripture: "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word." Psalm 119:9

Text Box:           Fellowship Baptist Church also has an active music ministry featuring many solos, duets, and other small groups, and the Fellowship Baptist Church Choir. Music has always played an important role in worship; however, in recent years, there have been those who have tried to conform to the world by melding Christian words to fleshly music. Here at Fellowship, we understand that this is not pleasing to a holy God, and that joining the world and church will never work. Scripture: "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;" Ephesians 5:19

Text Box:           At Fellowship Baptist Church, we support approximately 30 missionaries around the world. It is our desire, by supporting both Home and Foreign Missions to be obedient to God and to aid in the evangelism of the world by the method of Faith Promise Giving. Scripture: "and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." Acts 1:8
