Text Box:              Fellowship Baptist Church had its start in 1990 when Paul and Yvonne Schwanger and one other family had a desire to see an Independent Baptist church established in the Mount Joy area. They contacted missionary church planter Homer McMillan to start the church in an old 1960‘s laundromat.
First formed as Abundant Life Baptist Church, the name was changed to
Fellowship Baptist Church of Lancaster Country when the church was formally
established. McMillan remained with the church for 18 months until a pastor was
called in 1991.
On November 11, 1991, Pastor Doug Dugan was extended an invitation
to pastor the new fledgling ministry. Pastor Dugan would pastor the church for
over nine years. In these nine years, under the leadership of the Lord, he was
able to build the congregation to over 100 members. Under Pastor Dugan’s
leadership, the church purchased the old laundromat and converted it into the
church’s auditorium and fellowship hall.  A Christian school was started as well
as a bus ministry.

Holtsclaw. In seeing the need for some joy in the hearts of the membership,
Pastor Holtsclaw introduced the church’s new theme, “Experience the Joy.” Under his leadership and zeal for the Lord, the church has grown to an average attendance of 80 as well as a day with over 100 in attendance.
Fellowship Baptist Church is a Bible believing, Bible preaching church. Our congregation has a real desire to lift up Jesus Christ, that others may come to Him, for we believe that Christ is the solution to every one of today’s problems.
We will look forward to seeing you in our services in the near future. If there is any way our church can be a blessing to you, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Text Box:              In 1999, in a
special ground breaking
ceremony, the first steps for a new
auditorium began. This auditorium was completed and
dedicated to the Lord in 2002 with a special balloon launch by all that were in attendance on that day.
Pastor David Parker was the next pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church
following the resignation of Pastor Dugan. Pastor Parker remained with the
church for a short 8 months. The next man who was extended an invitation was
Pastor Steve Adsit. Pastor Adsit remained with the church for one and a half
years. In these transitional years following the resignation of Pastor Dugan, the
  church attendance declined considerably.
In February 2003, the church extended the call to Pastor Timothy
